Virginia Beach Honeymoons

If having a beach wedding is what you're looking for, Virginia Beach is a great place to start.  With 20 miles of sand, it's almost guaranteed to have the perfect spot for you and your love to say, "I do".  Picture yourself on the beach with the salty ocean air blowing around you while you and your mate take your vows.

There are many great activities to do just on this stretch of waterfront landscaping like lying on the sand, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and chasing dolphins but that's not all Virginia Beach has to offer.  If you're a nature, museum or history lover, there's something for you here.

It's also easy to drive to one of the other cities in the area like Norfolk, Portsmouth or even Chesapeake.  All three are a short drive on the highway, Chesapeake being the farthest at about an hour away. Norfolk is teaming with Museums and old Mansions and the Norfolk Naval Station is a must see.  It's got a few restaurants to choose from, all reasonably priced and great choices for hotels.  If you're looking for great shopping, Norfolk is the city to travel to. Portsmouth is another great place to stay with much to do. There are an abundance of tours and museums along with excellent dining options and many charming inns to choose from. Chesapeake is a little farther than the others but worth the drive for any outdoor enthusiast.  There's great camping at Northwest River Park with boating, fishing and horseback riding, over 200 amazing restaurants to choose from and loads of attractions that are wildlife based.

With a beautiful beach wedding and an exciting honeymoon, visiting Virginia Beach is sure to give you plenty of stories to tell your friends and family back home.
