Boston Honeymoons
Boston, founded in 1630, is a wonderful city draped in history and gorgeous sites. Make sure you bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes, as walking is the easiest way to get around this beautiful city.
There are hotels that are perfect if you want the familiarity of a new hotel or the romance of staying in one of the 19 th century buildings. Either way the most luxurious hotels are clustered near the Boston Common and offer easy access to exploring the rest of the city.
The Boston Common is most central to Boston and is the oldest public park in America. It's the perfect place for a nice romantic stroll. There are several monuments and memorials to see. Just a stones throw away is the Boston Public Gardens which, being America's first Botanical garden, is most famous for it's romantic swan boat tours across it's 4 acre pond. There are more monuments to see here for those who enjoy seeing a little piece of history trapped in time. While you and your spouse hold hands and wonder the city, make sure you stop at the Bunker Hill Monument. The top of the monument is reached by a flight of 294 steps. There's no elevator, but the enchanting view of the Boston skyline is worth the effort.
Though Boston doesn't have much of a nightlife, there is plenty to do for those who are looking for late evening entertainment. You could of course start with one of Boston's biggest attractions, Cheers. There are also several other bars in the area, dance, music and comedy clubs, theatre, cafes, opera and concerts.
The shopping in Boston is unique with major national retail chains, handcrafts shops, gift shops, galleries and independent fashion boutiques all in the same concentrated area. So no matter what you're interested in taking home with you as a token of your honeymoon, you can find it here.
Just imagine exploring the history and sites of Boston while you and your spouse are creating a new history of your own!
