Burlington Honeymoons
Burlington Vermont is an enchanting place for a couple who loves nature. There are plenty of places for you to take long walks, hikes or go biking together and get some real quality time with nature and your new partner.
There are beautiful trails to walk no matter where you go, from the Green Mountain Audubon Nature Center to the grounds of the Ethan Allen house. Even the University of Vermont is on the crowning hilltop of Burlington and inside the Fleming Museum you can get little taste of nature with American landscapes and contemporary works by local artists. And of course you can't forget that Vermont is known for it's beautiful turning of leaves in the fall.
The biggest attraction to Burlington is Lake Champlain, which sparkles beneath the Adirondack Mountains. On the shore of Lake Champlain you won't be alone as it is one of the more popular spots in Burlington for outdoor enthusiasts. But don't think you'll have to stay on land if you visit this beautiful body of water. There are tours to take you across the lake so you can get an amazing look at the lake, leaves, and mountains on a pleasant 1-hour cruise.
You have your choice of charming hotels. Some located within walking distance of downtown, others that have a view of the lake. All are worth looking into.
If you want to take a break from nature and get into the bustle of "Small City" life, you can choose one of the diverse and unique places to shop, or many the places for entertainment. In the middle of downtown, stop in at the Vermont Pub and Brewery, which brews it's own beer and fruit seltzers and is said to be the most popular spot in town.
If you and your sweetheart are looking for a nice quiet getaway this is definitely the destination for you!
